A commissioning ceremony was held on Mon., May 6 at the CCVI Generalate Chapel as a special sendoff for upcoming WGC Immersion Trip travelers to Peru and Tanzania.

The journey to Peru for a great team of eleven travelers, led by Sister Martha Ann Kirk and WGC Associate Director Nicole Foy, kicks off this upcoming Monday! They’ll be traveling to Lima, Cuzco, Machu Picchu, Chimbote and Trujillo as part of a trip centered on service, solidarity, art and culture.

Trip participants will serve alongside Incarnate Word Missionaries to promote and strengthen CCVI ministries and WGC programs. The immersion trip to Tanzania this year will leave in mid-July and will be led by Tere Salinas-Dresner.

We are grateful for these travelers’ service. During the commissioning ceremony, a special blessing was given by WGC Executive Director Lisa Uribe.
