Our Acts of Chapter, 2002, directed us to "take full advantage of technology in order to foster relationship." Over time, society has evolved through the agricultural and industrial ages, and is now in the information and technological age. With these new and exciting advances come both opportunities and challenges. We have a responsibility to provide leadership in closing the "digital divide." We do this by finding ways of empowering others, so that everyone can be active participants in the new global community. We also recognize that we have the opportunity to use technology and the internet to join the world-wide community ourselves, adding our voices to advocate for the common good, and the mission and Gospel of Jesus.
