CHRISTUS SANTA ROSA OPENS FIRST FULL-SERVICE HOSPITAL IN WESTOVER HILLS
(July 13, 2009) SAN ANTONIO – CHRISTUS Santa Health Care (CSRHC) celebrated a momentous occasion in its proud 140-year history with the opening of Westover Hills’ first full-service hospital. The new CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills is the realization of a journey which began in 2006 when CSRHC made a commitment to bring needed health care services to one of San Antonio’s fastest growing communities. “We are proud to add this new, full-service health care facility to our family of hospitals in San Antonio and New Braunfels,” said Don A. Beeler, FACHE, President and CEO of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care. “For more than 140 years, we have provided high quality health care to those in need, and with the opening of this new hospital, we continue that tradition.” Founded in 1869 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital is a Catholic faith-based, non-profit health and wellness ministry dedicated to providing the highest quality medical care and services available. One of the top health care organizations in South Texas, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa has four hospital campuses, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital City Centre located in downtown San Antonio, in the South Texas Medical Center, in New Braunfels and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital, San Antonio’s first children’s hospital, an academic teaching facility affiliated with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
