Our Story
We express the healing love of Christ when we share in the life, sufferings and hopes of God’s people. (Constitutions, Art. 3)
We are called to enhance the human dignity of persons and inspire hope in today’s society...showing preference for the needs of the poor. (Constitutions, Art. 39, 41).
This call has not only an individual dimension, but also a communal one as well; we must find ways in community to respond with a corporate and prophetic voice. (General Chapter 2002, p. 7)
Compassion is living the Incarnation with the embrace, welcome and love God has for us, helping us to enter into the suffering and pain of others, and motivating us to respond as Jesus did.
