San Antonio is celebrating its 300th anniversary in 2018. The Ministries of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, including the University of the Incarnate Word, are proud to be a part of that history as we collaboratively honor our past, present and future during this historic celebration.

On Sunday, April 15, we hosted Mi Casa es Su Casa, a free event for the entire family on the UIW campus. The day began with the celebration of Mass in the Chapel of the Incarnate Word, in which the UIW community joined with the Sisters of Charity, residents of The Village at Incarnate Word, and the leadership of CHRISTUS Health System in a united celebration.

Reception followed liturgy in the Heritage Area. Afterwards, guests were treated to guided tours of Chapel, Heritage Center and Brackenridge Villa. Throughout the day, music, dance, storytelling, exhibits and activities filled the day at this event from 10:00 A.M.– 6:00 P.M. Visit uiw.edu/300/ for more information.
