Farewell to Novitiate… Enter the Juniorate

With a lot of emotion and certainty of one call and one answer, our two Sisters Candelaria Témich and Elizabeth Mendoza, left the Novitiate to take their Vows last Saturday, August 10th.

Elizabeth is native of the City of Puebla, she participated in vocation days where she met S. Marichui Bringas who provided company for her, and she gradually let her know our Spirituality and Charisma, discovering the Lord’s invitation to follow him in our congregation’s life style.

Candelaria comes from Veracruz and found out about our Congregation in a Pre-life retreat from which she felt she was being called by the Incarnate Word and was invited to be in contact with the Congregation. Months later she arrived at San Andrés Tuxtla Community, living there half a year with Sor Alba Castellanos, where her call grew stronger which has been confirmed in her beginning formation. Cande, as we fondly call her, made her Novitiate together with Elizabeth, in Zapopan, Jalisco, being accompanied in their first stages by Sor Érika and Sor Rosantina Garzafox.

The two new Professed nuns happily expressed their first Vows in presence of their relatives and Sisters of the Congregation who thanked God seeing that the Incarnate Word keeps calling young women who are willing to follow him and we ask Him and Maria, his dear Mother to strengthen and bless this call in them.

Elizabeth is about to begin her ministry Chilcuautla, Hidalgo, and Cande is in Chihuahua, already starting her new ministry at Instituto América, forming part of the community. Both have been received with joy and hope.

Homily and photo gallery.
