Incarnate Word Day

March 25 is the Feast of the Annunciation, the Feast Day of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Today, we gather together remotely, and pray for the needs of the world at this crucial and dangerous time in our collective history. At noon we will take together a minute of silence, and then recite the Angelus. Pope Francis has also asked that the whole People of God take a moment of silence at noon on March 25 and recite the Our Father. We join our prayer with that of the Holy Father’s.

The Angelus

L: The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
R./ And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
not and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

L: Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
R./ Be it done unto me according to your word.

Hail Mary, ….

L: And the Word was made flesh,
R./ And dwells among us.

Hail Mary …

L: Pray for us, O Holy mother of God.
R./ That we may be made worthy of the
promises of Christ.

L: Let us pray:
All: Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts, that we, to some the incarnation of Christ thy Son was made known b the message of an angel, may be his passion and cross, be brought to the glory of the resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Our Father

Our father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
