International Formation Team gathering

By Sr. Mirella Neira and Sr. Angelita Hernandez, CCVI International Formation Team.

The CCVI International Formation Team gathered January 20-24, 2020 and had a life experience that allowed them to see formation as a path of initial and ongoing “transFormation.”Those were days for a more intense encounter with the God of life, for encountering oneself through prayer, and for sharing the history of salvation God accomplishes in each of us.  We realized that once it is shared, it is no longer my personal history, but becomes “our congregational history” when there is unity in diversity, dialogue, compassionate and empathic listening within the sacred space.

When we met and worked together, we discovered we have a great need to walk together in this “transFormation” process, and this filled us with hope. We asked ourselves: “Are we willing to walk through this?” And our response was “we will find paths together,” because our Mother Mary walks with us.  The song “While you go through your life, you are never alone, Blessed Mary goes with you on the path” motivates us to move forward with enthusiasm.

Sisters, we invite you to travel this road together, where formation is a process we have already begun and where something new is “being created” as the fruit of dreaming, sharing together and providing a sense of unity.  “Alone we can do something; together we can do much.” We have hope, faith, dreams, challenges, energy and movement. Our Charism is calling and energizing us towards the future.  We acknowledge that God continues believing in our Congregation. We must also believe; we must walk together and dare to change what needs to be changed on the path to live our CCVI Vocation-Mission.

Let us remember that “what is attained through much effort, is more loved.”

Encounter + prayer + unity + experiences + dreams + hopes + interculturality + Intergenerationality = initial and ongoing “TransFORMATION”.
