My daily lenten scripture lesson

LENT TIME

Sunday: “This is my Beloved Son. Listen to Him.” (Mark 9:7c)

My Response: I will listen more carefully to God’s Word.

Monday: “…The Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and

believe in the Gospel.”(Mk 1:14b-15)

My Response: I will turn away from sin and trust the good news of the Gospel.

Tuesday: “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matt. 16:16b)

My Response: I will reflect upon the amazing gift God has given us in Jesus Christ, His only Son.

Wednesday: “…whatever you did for the least of my sisters and brothers, you did for Me.” (Matt 25:40b)

My Response: I will help care for a sister or brother in need today.

Thursday: “If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you.” (Matt 6:14)

My Response: I will forgive someone who has hurt or offended me.

Friday: “…if I your Lord have washed your feet, you should wash one another’s feet.”(Jn. 132:13-14)

My Response: Today I will put the needs of someone else before my own.

Saturday: “If you remain in My Word, you will truly be my disciples; you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (Jn. 8:31b-32)

My Response: I will read and study God’s Word daily.
