Pray for Uvalde

We, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, are deeply moved by the suffering of the families who were victims of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in our neighboring city of Uvalde, Texas. We are convinced that this violence is preventable, and that this horror must be avoided.

Together along with our entire community, today we call for a prayer of solidarity, love, and accompaniment for our neighbors in Uvalde; a prayer for the actions of justice and non-violence that our world needs so much; a prayer that makes tangible the relief of our hands with our presence and communion.

“We have to act,” President Biden said as he addressed the Nation. May Our Lady of Peace continue to show us the path to peace, solidarity, and love, today and now.
