I am very excited to announce that our Sisters Care ministry has won a State-wide award from LeadingAge Texas for Excellence in Community Service!! The actual award will be presented to us at the LeadingAge Texas annual conference and solutions expo in Austin on May 22nd.

LeadingAge Texas is comprised of more than 350 members, including approximately 200 of Texas’ finest retirement housing communities, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, nursing homes, and home and community based services providers. Over 30,000 older Texans reside in LeadingAge Texas-member communities.

Congratulations to Dora and her team and to all of our coworkers, clients, residents and volunteers who helped contribute to this accomplishment. “It takes a Village” as we say and it is wonderful to have the hard work and dedication of so many people to be recognized by an outside organization, and one with very high quality organizations as members. There were many nominations for Excellence in Community Service and we are so thrilled that Sisters Care was selected among all the nominations.

I recuperated at the Retirement Center in 2001, after a car accident. Steve, & all the CCVIs couldn’t have been nicer to me. I’m still so grateful!
Thanks, & God’s blessings to all of you
