On Friday, March 24, 2017, the Educational Community of the Incarnate Word University in Bajío and the Educational Community of the Liceo Cervantino which is part of the University, carried out their 2nd Celebration of the Incarnate Word Day, beginning with the Eucharist at 10:00 am, officiated by His Excellency Mr. José de Jesús Martínez Zepeda, Diocesan Administrator Bishop and concelebrated by the Rector of the Diocesan Seminary Fernando Torres, who were supported by the seminarians and students as acolytes.
It was a very beautiful and emotional celebration. The Bishop was thanked for the support and affection with which he received the Educational Project of the Incarnate Word in the region. There were Consecrations of the new students and new staff and they were given an Incarnate Word medal as a sign of identity and sense of belonging. The Band of the Liceo Cervantino intoned the Hymn to the Incarnate Word; the hymn of Mexico and the one of San Antonio, they sounded wonderfully.
To conclude the Celebration of the Incarnate Word Day, there was a party at the UIW Bajío multifunctional building where they gave sodas to each one of the attendees by UIW Bajío. There were also food stalls, mechanical games and innovative inflatables for everyone’s enjoyment. It was attended by about one thousand people among students, parents, administrative staff, teachers and administrators, maintenance staff, special guests such as CCVI Sisters, Councilors and those in charge of CHRISTUS Muguerza in the Region, among others.
