World Day for the Poor
On November 15, Pope Francis invites the entire Church to celebrate the Fourth World Day of Prayer for, of, and with the Poor. For this reason, we want to create a sacred space to pray, from the heart, for and with the most vulnerable people. We want to unite ourselves with God so that Spirit may flood our bodies, minds, and spirits, and give us the strength and discernment to do our part in building the reign of God. May we help create a world of mutual relationships as sisters and brothers.

CCVIs Participate in Catholic Day of Action for Migrant Children
On Thursday, July 18th, hundreds of Catholics gathered together in Washington D.C. for a Catholic Day of Action to end child detention and stop the inhumane treatment of immigrants and refugees in the United States.
Our Work for Justice
February 20th marks the annual World Day of Social Justice, as established by the General Assembly of the United Nations, and this year our Congregation is also celebrating 150 years of promoting human dignity. This is definitely a sacred time for us to look back with gratitude, act in the present with passion, and dream of the future with hope.
Incarnate Word Family Supports Immigrants
In these challenging political times, let us remember the strength of life and community. In light of immigrants and refugees who seek to enter the United States, Incarnate Word Sisters, Staff, Associates, past and present students of UIW, people working as interns with Incarnate Word Foundation in St. Louis, and people associated with the CCVI Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation Committee gather with others holding up international law, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and principals of Catholic Social Teaching on the dignity of human beings. UIW students concerned about vulnerable children who are suffering have been gathering resources to help them.

The Office of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) for the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word extend our deepest sympathies to all those impacted by the most recent school shooting in our country, this time in Santa Fe, TX. As a Congregation that seeks to incarnate the healing and saving love of God in the world, we stand strong in our commitment to Gospel nonviolence and lament the rampant and senseless violence plaguing our society today.
Incarnate Word Sisters Participate in 3rd annual Sex Trafficking Awareness Day
Last week, on January 31st, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, represented by the Congregational JPIC Office and sisters from El Puente Ministry, participated in the 3rd annual Sex Trafficking Awareness Day in Jefferson City at the State Capitol.
