The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word were featured in the Spring 2020 National Religious Retirement Office (NRRO) Newsletter, which highlighted how CCVI is embracing change and planning and strengthening the Congregation for the future. The CCVI Team of Sr. Teresa (Tere) Maya- (Congregational Leader), Sr. Margaret Bonnot, Sr. Margaret Snyder, Sr. Leticia Rodriquez and Sr. Martha Laura Ganoa participated in NRRO’s Planning and Implementation Assistance Process. This process looked at ways to strengthen CCVI’s Financial status, strengthen the Srs. Retirement Fund and look at different ways to cut the budget without effecting resources needed to accomplish the CCVI Mission.

Praised be the Incarnate Word! The COVID-19 shadow was cast over every aspect of our lives the last four months. The unwelcome companions on this journey, uncertainty, economic hardship, loss of our public life, and grief, are teaching us something about our human family. We have lived with fear, fear of losing our health, of losing our livelihood, of losing someone we love. But also fear of what lies ahead. Facing our fear requires a lot of courage, but more importantly, it requires accompaniment.
