This window reminds us that even the Holy Family were refugees from violence.
Yesterday we were asked to reflect on what extraordinary things we may have been asked to do, during these quarantine days. Reflecting on this image of the newly born Incarnate Word and the words from scripture, we might ask, “What is being born anew in me these days”? We might be discovering something new about ourselves during this extended “pause” in our lives!
The windows in the Chapel of the Incarnate Word were installed when the chapel was built in 1907. They were designed and executed by the Emil Frei company, of St. Louis Missouri, and tell the story of the life of Christ through the lens of the Gospel of St. Luke.
