Lent: Journey of Reconciliation

Once again, we are given the gift of making a space to reflect deeply on who we are, where we come from and where we are going. Yes, we are dust and today we remember it. At the same time, we are much more than dust, we are creatures born of Love. We have received the divine breath, the dignity of daughters and sons of God, endless talents and gifts, and the greatest one which is freedom. In this Lent that begins today, Ash Wednesday, let’s make use of this freedom to begin a journey of reconciliation that will take us back home, to our most authentic being, to reconcile with our surroundings and our home Earth, with those around us, with our wounds and our fears, with our frustrations and our worries, with whom we love most and with those who make it difficult for us. Let us walk towards a reconciliation with God, because it is from God that our relationships are profoundly transformed.
