“Our lives are a book in which others can read the instructions we give them” (from “Treatise on the Beatitudes” – Jeanne Chezard de Matel)
What do others read in me?

It is a question to ponder. Sometimes we don’t know what others are reading in us (and perhaps, sometimes, that’s best!). But a salutary unselfconscious awareness of whether we’re using kind and gentle language, whether our deeds accord with our professed beliefs, and so on, might be helpful. A little examen on how we interact with others, and even whether we’re giving ourselves the appropriate care. It’s given me a lot to think about!
We agree with you, Thomas! Our way of speaking is also a reflection of the love we have for ourselves.
