We are CCVI Family

On February 4, the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word held the largest and most important online event in its history: Somos Familia CCVI, accompanying Chapter 2022.

The event brought together more than 400 members of the congregational family, uniting ministries, personnel, collaborators, volunteers, and friends.

The host, Dennis Gonzales, from the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA), and host of the ‘We are CCVI Family’ meeting, shared with us his generous words about this great congregational meeting: “It was truly a humbling experience to be a part of the CCVI pre-chapter gathering. Seeing that there were hundreds of CCVI family members logged in was so inspiring. It warms my heart to know that the CCVI mission is alive and well. The fact that the Sisters are sharing their heritage, mission, and legacy with all of us is a tremendous gift and an awesome responsibility. I, for one, am excited and optimistic about what the future holds!”

Liliana Totoricagüena also shared with us her experience in this event: “The meeting on February 4, 2022, was undoubtedly very significant because I had to share, listen and write down the reflections of the sisters who met in the library of Casa San Ángel. There I reaffirmed the importance of hearing the experiences of each one and knowing the contributions they made to the Congregation during their youth and years of work. Despite the fact that for the sisters they were only longings and anecdotes. For me, they meant a treasure of valuable testimonies for future generations of vocations, laity and religious”.
