The CCVI Migrant, Immigrant, and Refugee Network in order to promote educational opportunities that broaden current and historical perspectives of the global migration crisis and the people impacted by movement and upheaval, presents a series of Webinars entitled: “Globalizing Compassion, Cooperation and Solidarity”.

“A Heart Open to the Whole World,” is the first webinar focusing on Pope Francis’ teaching on immigration on migration at Fratelli Tutti. This event will have the participation of the Archbishop Gustavo García Siller of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Laura Vargas from Peru, and our sisters Teresa Maya and Cecilia Zavala. This event will be on February 24th at 6:00-7:30 p.m. CST (San Antonio, Tx.) and we will have English and Spanish interpretation.

Passcode: 068941

Please consider also scheduling the dates: March 17th for the second webinar entitled “Human Dignity Knows No Borders,” which will consider local legal and policy aspects, the Declaration of Universal Human Rights and the Catholic Social Teaching. And on April 28th, for the third webinar entitled “Relief at Your Hands,” which will focus on experiences of projects or homes that welcome our migrant brothers and sisters on their journey to find a dignified way of life.

It is worth mentioning that the CCVI Migrant, Immigrant, and Refugee Network has four goal areas: Communication and Media, Education, Health and Families, and Legal, Governmental Processes and Need for Resources.
