During the days of September 27-30, the Sister Jubilarians of 2020 from Mexico, Peru and USA, gathered together in San Antonio to begin the celebration of their Jubilee year. Sister Brigid Marie Clarke served as retreat director for the weekend.

Mission
Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (CCVI) were called to respond to specific and urgent needs of the church in the historic moment of 1869. “Our Lord Jesus Christ suffering in the persons of a multitude of sick and infirm of every kind seeks relief at your hands.”
Quijotes of San Antonio, Ambassadors of Health, Assist People of Oaxaca, Mexico
Los Quijotes were born in 1989, when more than 20 willing medical volunteers traveled to Jalapa, a poor area of Mexico City, upon the request of the CCVI Congregation. The group adopted the name of the famous Spanish character as they dreamed of doing good, fighting gigantic health problems with words, hands, medicines, good will and enthusiasm.
First preparation meeting for the 2020 Assembly
The preparations begin! Work is already being done for the Assembly of 2020. The planning group met from September 16- 20, 2019 in San Antonio.

On September 11, 2019, CHRISTUS Health paid tribute to the Congregation’s 150th Jubilee with a Luncheon at Old Ursuline Academy.

CCVI catechists Retreat in Tesistán, Jalisco
The Education Team Pastoral Coordinator organized a retreat. 59 people attended, including sisters and catechists from different CCVI schools: Santa Catarina Educational Center, Instituto Miguel Ángel, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Miguel Ángel de Occidente, Instituto América, Colegio Mexicano, Colegio Central, Instituto Hispano Inglés, and Liceo Cervantino participated as a guest. The participants arrived on Thursday, August 1, where they were received by the Sisters, who organized and led the retreat.

Farewell to Novitiate… Enter the Juniorate
With a lot of emotion and certainty of one call and one answer, our two Sisters Candelaria Témich and Elizabeth Mendoza, left the Novitiate to take their Vows last Saturday, August 10th.
